Racal
is Diesel's sire, he is truly one of the old school
bulldogges, as is Diesel's dam Echo.
There
is a unique history behind the ancestry of Retro
Bulldogges. The bulldogges that make up the foundation of the
Retro Bulldogges are from some of the very best breeding from
some of the best breeders. In the late 1990's Craig Green of
Gallant Farm's Kennel and Carlos Woods of My Bulldogges Kennel
worked together to better their perspective lines by
exchanging stud dogs. One of the phenomenal breeding that came
out of this cooperative was the breeding between Gallant
Farm's J.R.
and MB's Porky
made by Carlos Woods. This breeding produced three exceptional
Bulldogges that played an important part of forming the
foundations of the Olde Victorian Bulldogges line. Gallant
Farm's J.R. and MB's Porky produced MB's
Angus, Rascal, and Orca.
These beautiful specimens are in many pedigrees of some of the
best Olde Victorian and English Bulldogges ever produced.
Retro Bulldogges is proud to have this caliber of Bulldogge in
the ancestry of bulldogges. We believe that Rascal was
one of the most impressive bulldogges ever produced, and at a
bully 120 muscular pounds he has been one of the most timeless
expressions of bulldogge perfection to the present date. Echo
was a massive and powerful female, her mother was a product of
one of Craig Green's most outstanding breedings. MB's
Mask is a full
sister to Gallant
Farm's Dempsey who was out of Gallant Farm's Buhla
Buhla and Gallant
Farm's Dusty Roads.
Buhla is out of the old David Leavitt bloodline and I can
honestly say that she is one of the most impressive Leavitt
bulldogs we've ever seen. Dusty Roads is believed to be one of
the true old southern bulldogs. Craig Green bought Dusty from
an old man in rural southern Georgia. Craig asked the old man,
what kind of bulldog was he and the old man replied, "I
don't know what kind of bulldog he is - he's just the kind of
bulldog we have always had around here". The impressive
linage of Rascal and Echo comes together in their only known
breeding (to us), which we are only familiar with two of these
pups Diesel and Tank.

Beulah
Blu ~ Then and Now

Zak ~ Then and Now
We are looking forward to a Zak
& Beulah breeding this spring...
Zak is out of Joyful Acer's Lit'l
Blue and MB's Harlequin ~ Lit'l Blu is out of a Sullivan's Doby
father/daughter breeding, Zak has Doby in him two times and
being a Diesel grandson out of Harlequin, which is out of a
Diesel and MB's Martha breeding, Zak has diesel in him one
time
Beulah's dam is Goddog's Heidi
Blu a blue fawn female ....Heidi Blu is a Sullivan's Doby
daughter. Beulah is a Diesel Daughter and a Doby granddaughter,
which makes Beulah one time Doby and one time Diesel.......
This will be Zak and Beulah's
first breeding, and the pups will be three times Doby and two
times Diesel - This breeding is close enough to lock in
some big bully blue genes that are in both Diesel and Doby, and
following John D. Johnson's breeding philosophy, "If you
breed tight you breed right".....We think they will make
some very big and bully looking blue Bulldogges with good
health, breathing , and movement..........
